Comfort Colors are famous for their broken-in feel right from the first wear. The garment-dyed process gives each shirt a rich, vintage look and a super soft hand that only gets better with time.

Every shirt is printed by hand in our own shop using high-quality ink and properly cured for a soft print that lasts.

Care Tips

Comfort Colors Tee Care Instructions

For best results and to keep your shirt looking great longer:

Washing

  • Turn the shirt inside out before washing (this protects the screen print).
  • Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.
  • Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers.
  • Do not use fabric softener — it can break down the garment-dyed color and the print over time.
  • Wash with similar colors to prevent any dye transfer.

Drying

  • Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry for best results.
  • Avoid high heat — it can cause unnecessary shrinkage and speed up fading of the garment-dyed color.
  • Comfort Colors are pre-shrunk, but high heat drying can still cause some additional shrinkage.

Ironing (if needed)

  • Iron inside out on a low to medium setting.
  • Avoid ironing directly over the screen print.
  • Use a pressing cloth if ironing the printed side.

General Tips

  • The garment-dyed fabric is designed to have a soft, vintage, broken-in feel. Some fading over time is normal and part of the look.
  • The more you wash and wear it, the softer it typically gets.
  • For maximum print longevity, always wash inside out and avoid overloading the washer.
  • These shirts hold up very well with proper care and are known for staying soft even after many washes.
